Debates in Queen's Park

Since the 1995 provincial election, disabilities issues have been raised at various times in the legislature. The issues have been raised via members' statements, questions to various government ministers, petitions read in and endorsed by private members, and open debate. On May 16, 1996, the legislature debated and adopted a resolution calling on the government to pass an Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and to work with the ODA Committee, among others, on its implementation. This resolution was adopted unanimously by the members of all parties present on that day.
