* Remember to attend tomorrow's public forum on Bill 118 in York Region. The
forum will be:

Please come to this event. Encourage others to do so as well. Thanks to the
York Region Accessibility Advisory Committee for organizing this public
forum.

* The province-wide ODA Committee's formal oral presentation on Bill 118 to
the Legislature's Standing Committee on Social Policy has now been
scheduled. It will be on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, from 3:45 p.m. until 4
p.m. at the Ontario Legislature, Queen's Park, Toronto in Committee room
228.Everyone is welcome to attend. Space is limited. We encourage as many
people as possible to attend to show their support for our presentation.
Let us know if you plan to attend. Notified us at:

oda@odacommittee.net RSVP is not necessary but we sure would appreciate it!

* Dates, times and locations of all the public hearings on Bill 118 have now
been announced by the Standing Committee on Social Policy. We are advised of
the following information, but have been told that it is subject to change.
If we receive word of any changes, we will let you know as fast as we can.
Again, we urge as many people as possible to go to these hearings to watch
the proceedings. The hearings are all open to the public to attend and
watch. The MPPs and the media may well take from the size of the audience a
measure of the support for strong and effective legislation. Also, encourage
your local media now to attend and cover these hearings. This is a great
chance to get more profile for this issue. Let the media know what you think
of the bill and the proposed amendments that are being suggested.

Here is what we have been told so far. If there aren't enough presenters to
fill the day, these times may be shortened, and in any event are only
estimates and are subject to change.
