ONTARIANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMMITTEE UPDATE
ODA COMMITTEE EMAIL GOES ON HOLIDAY - HOPE YOUR COMPUTERS ENJOY THE BREAK!
December 5, 2003
SUMMARY
Effective immediately, and until early in the new year, the ODA Committee email service is going on holiday! No more email to clutter up your inbox.
We have come a long, long way this year. In an exhausting election campaign, grassroots ODA supporters so effectively raised the ODA issue in a non-partisan way across Ontario. Now a new Government is in power at Queens' Park which has pledged to strengthen the ODA to make it strong and effective. That new Government has sent several early signals that suggest that we have cause for renewed optimism. However, we have to keep active in the new year to ensure that the new Government does not get so absorbed in other issues that the ODA issue gets left behind.
We all deserve a rest, and a good holiday. After that, however, the work will begin again. The new Ontario Government has announced a new ODA consultation early in the new year. We will all have lots to do to take part in that consultation.
A happy, healthy holiday season to all, and here's to wishing everyone a barrier-free new year.
Any further feedback sent to oda@odacommittee.net will not be read until early in the new year.
