Voters With Disabilities Urged To Vote At Advance Polls September 20 To 26, To Avoid Risk Of Barriers On Election Day

September 19, 2003

SUMMARY

The ODA Committee urges all voters with disabilities to cast their vote in this provincial election during the advance polls, to be open between September 20 and September 26, with the exception of Sunday, September 21, 2003. Avoid the risk of barriers on October 2, 2003, election day!

MORE DETAILS

We have called on Elections Ontario to ensure a barrier-free election. However, there is no certainty that there will not be some barriers in the voting process, despite Elections Ontario's efforts.

If you run into a barrier on election day, October 2, 2003, it may be too late to get it fixed in time for you to be able to vote. To avoid the risk of problems on October 2, 2003, we urge all voters with disabilities to vote in advance, at the advance polls. These will be open in every riding at various times between Saturday September 20, 2003 and Friday September 26, 2003, with the exception of Sunday, September 21, 2003.
