on removing barriers to public transit in Ontario facing persons with
disabilities. It will air on the Ronda Live Show on the CTS (Crossroads
Television) network, seen on cable and satellite TV in southern Ontario and
other parts of the province. It is on live Tuesday, May 14, 2002 from 2 to 3
p.m. and then is replayed Wednesday, May 15, 2002 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.Among the guests on the show will be tenacious ODA supporter Carole Riback.
To phone in, dial:
(416) 203-0302 or
(905) 332-3131Encourage others to watch and to learn about this important issue. Call in and
let the public know that it is important for the Ontario Government to proclaim
in force immediately, and to implement all the unproclaimed provisions of the
Ontarians with Disabilities Act 2001, including those governing public transit.
It is also important for the Ontario Government to develop and enact strong and
effective regulations under the ODA 2001 which will set standards and time
lines for removing barriers to public transit.Send us your feedback at: oda@odacommittee.net
