ONTARIANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT COMMITTEE UPDATE
American Sign Language Interpretation, Captioning, and an Accessible Meeting Room Arranged at Queen's Park for Watching Tonight's Second Day of Second Reading Debate on Bill 118
November 22, 2004
SUMMARY
The Government has just confirmed that they have arranged an accessible meeting room at the Legislature Building at Queen's Park again tonight for the second day of Second Reading debates on Bill 118, the proposed Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
The debates occur this evening from 6:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The meeting room is Room 163. You can also go to the Public Galleries if you wish.
Some find that it's especially enjoyable to be in the meeting room, since you get to meet others similarly interested in this issue. The arrangements for getting access to the few accessible seats in the galleries are the same as previously announced.
We encourage people to come and watch these debates at Queens Park for all or even part of these proceedings. If you cannot make it, watch on your local cable TV Legislature Channel.
