Community Forum
Event: ODA Community Forum at the Bloorview MacMillan Centre.
When: Tuesday evening, March 30, 1999.
A community forum on the Ontarians with Disabilities Act is being held at Bloorview MacMillan Centre, at the Bloorview site, on Tuesday evening, March 30.
A speaker from the U.S. will be talking about the benefits that have been experienced with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Someone from the business community will be speaking about workplace barriers which impede people with disabilities. ODA Committee Co-Chair David Lepofsky will speak about our efforts in Ontario to get a strong and effective Ontarians with Disabilities Act passed into law. MPP's from all three parties have been invited to attend and comment on their parties' commitment to an ODA.
Everyone is welcome to attend. A light dinner is being served at 6:30 pm, followed by the forum from 7:00 to 8:30. The address is 25 Buchan Court, which is off Sheppard Avenue, east of Leslie St.
Attendant care, child care, and sign language interpreters will be available. Free parking is also available. Please come and show your support. For further information, call Andy Snider at (416) 424-3855 ext. 3472.
