(O.D.A.) CommitteeA resolution was unanimously adopted by the legislature on
November 23, 1999, which requires the government to enact a
strong and effective Ontarians with Disabilities Act into law by
November 2001. This is a new law that people with disabilities
around Ontario have united to have enacted, to remove the
barriers they face and prevent new ones, barriers addressing
people with all disabilities, be they physical, mental or
sensory, be they visible or invisible disabilities and visible or
invisible barriers.The ODA Committee is a non-partisan voluntary coalition of
individuals and community organizations united to achieve a
barrier-free Ontario for 1.5 million people with disabilities,
through the passage of a strong and effective Ontarians with
Disabilities Act.M. David Lepofsky is the Chair of the Ontarians with Disabilities
Act (ODA) Committee. He is a graduate of Osgoode as well as
Harvard Law School. Please join us to hear Mr. Lepofsky speak
about the importance of this act, the ODA Committee's work to
