In an effort to obtain a good understanding of what stakeholders would like a definitive Ontarians with Disabilities Act to contain, we would ask that you consider these four basic questions when expressing your views on a comprehensive Ontarians with Disabilities Act. The questions and space provided are only guidelines. Please feel free to send us your submission in any format and length you are comfortable with.
- Question #1
What barriers do persons with disabilities in Ontario face?
- Question #2
What has been the impact on Ontario of having these barriers in place?
- Question #3
What will the impact on Ontario be if these barriers are allowed to remain in place and if new barriers are allowed to be created?
- Question #4
What should be included in the Ontarians with Disabilities Act to ensure it is both strong and effective at removing and preventing barriers and to achieve a barrier-free Ontario for people with disabilities?
Other Comments:
Thank you for taking the time to express your views and concerns on this important issue. With your input, I will be able to report and relay this information to the Ontario government for their full consideration as to what should be contained in a strong and effective Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
Sincerely,
Steve Peters, M.P.P
