(The following is the Legislature's vote to refer Bill 125 to the Standing
Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs)
Hon Mrs Ecker: I move that the standing committee on finance and economic
affairs be authorized to advertise its intent to hold public hearings in Ottawa
on Friday, November 30, 2001, respecting Bill 125, An Act to improve the
identification, removal and prevention of barriers faced by persons with
disabilities and to make related amendments to other Acts, notwithstanding that
the House has not yet decided second reading of the bill.The Speaker: Mrs Ecker moves that the standing committee on finance and
economic affairs be authorized to advertise its intent to hold public hearings
in Ottawa on Friday, November 30, 2001, respecting Bill 125, An Act to improve
the identification, removal and prevention of barriers faced by persons with
