Ontarians With Disabilities Act Committee

ONTARIO LEGISLATURE TO DEBATE OPPOSITION RESOLUTION DEMANDING THAT NEW DISABILITY LAW BE ENACTED WITHIN TWO YEARS

Monday, November 15, 1999:   Toronto: On Tuesday, November 23, 1999, members of the Ontarians with Disabilities Act Committee will be at Queen's Park to watch the Legislature debate a resolution introduced by Steve Peters, Liberal Disability Critic, which calls on the Legislature to pass a strong Ontarians with Disabilities Act within two years.

There will be an ODA Committee news conference at 11:30 am in the Queens Park Media Studio.

When the debate in the Legislature starts at 3:30pm, ODA Committee members will be watching the debate in committee rooms reserved for that purpose since the public galleries are still largely inaccessible. Members of the province-wide ODA Committee will be available for comment during the debate.
